For those firms the threat model is wire fraud and business email compromise, and the answer is enforced multi-factor authentication, hardened email, monitored endpoints, and an incident response plan that exists on paper before it is needed. Pasadena is also home to an unusually deep nonprofit and institutional sector — ArtCenter College of Design, Fuller Seminary, Pasadena City College, the Pasadena Playhouse, the Tournament of Roses, and the foundations and service organizations clustered around them — and qualifying 501(c)(3) organizations can bring their IT and security under our NITEP program.
