Why Boom Logic for Media & Entertainment

One Leak Ends a Studio Relationship. Provable Security Wins the Next One.

Vendor security questionnaires used to be a formality. Now the results sit in a registry that studios and streamers check before they award work. We run the environment and the evidence together, so the answers hold up when someone verifies them.

Built Around the Best Practices

Every control in the MPA Content Security Best Practices is mapped to a specific system, a specific configuration, and a specific piece of evidence—so the questionnaire describes what is true, not what is hoped.

Remediation, Not Just a Report

TPN rules keep the assessor who evaluates you from also planning your remediation. We are the other half: the team that segments the network, deploys the controls, and closes the items.

Infrastructure We Operate

Dailies, renders, and archives can live on systems we operate and monitor, with a presence in the world’s top-rated data centers—One Wilshire and Equinix—so questions about where content sits have clear answers.

What We Deliver

Managed IT, Content Security, and Assessment Readiness.

One integrated program that keeps editorial, VFX, and finishing teams working—and gives studios the security evidence they ask for.

TPN Readiness Assessment

A control-by-control review of your sites, applications, and workflows against the current MPA Content Security Best Practices—every gap ranked, with the effort and sequence to close it before an assessor sees it.

Policies, Evidence & Remediation Tracking

The policies, procedures, and evidence library the questionnaire asks for, written to match how your facility actually works—plus a tracked remediation plan you can submit and close.

Production Network Segmentation

Content networks isolated from office, guest, and internet-facing traffic, with firewalls, access control lists, and monitored transfer paths—the architecture most findings trace back to.

Managed Security Services

Multi-factor authentication, endpoint detection and response, email security, patching, and vulnerability management deployed across workstations, servers, and render nodes.

SOC as a Service & Logging

Centralized logging with retention and 24/7/365 SOC monitoring, so access to content systems is recorded, reviewed, and escalated to our engineers when something is wrong.

Learn more →

Penetration Testing & Vulnerability Scanning

External and internal testing under signed rules of engagement, with findings mapped to the controls they affect and retesting after remediation.

Learn more →

Cameras, Access Control & Cabling

Physical security is part of the assessment. We design and install camera coverage, badge access, and structured cabling for edit bays, machine rooms, and vaults.

Learn more →

Private Cloud & Storage Hosting

Hosted servers, storage, and virtual workstations on infrastructure we operate, for burst capacity, remote editorial, and archives that should not sit on a public share link.

Backup & Disaster Recovery

Encrypted, tested backups and recovery plans sized for media volumes—so a ransomware event or a failed array does not become a missed delivery.

Boom Logic prepares vendors for assessment and remediates what the assessment finds. The TPN assessment itself is performed by an independent, TPN-accredited assessor that you select. Need the full security program first? See managed detection and response.

How It Works

Scope. Baseline. Remediate. Sustain.

A structured path from your first content-flow map to a published assessment—and the remediation work that moves you up the Shield tiers.

01Scope

Inventory the sites, applications, and workflows that touch client content; map where it enters, lives, and leaves; decide what is in and out of the assessment.

02Baseline

Gap review against the MPA Content Security Best Practices, support completing the TPN+ questionnaire accurately, and a prioritized remediation roadmap.

03Remediate

Network segmentation, access control, logging, endpoint security, physical security, and policies delivered by one accountable team—with evidence collected as each item closes.

04Sustain

24/7/365 SOC monitoring, evidence kept current between cycles, annual self-assessment updates, and preparation ahead of each third-party reassessment.

Serving the studio corridors and beyond—Burbank, Culver City, Santa Monica, Glendale, Beverly Hills, and Los Angeles.

TPN Shield Tiers

Four Shields Now, Not Two. Remediation Is the Difference.

With the v5.3.1 release of the MPA Content Security Best Practices, TPN moved from two Shields to four. Blue means a published self-assessment. Silver means an accredited third-party assessment with a remediation plan submitted. Gold and Gold Star mean the remediation items were actually closed and reviewed by TPN. The registry now shows studios how far each vendor got—so the work after the assessment counts as much as the assessment. Read our guide to the Trusted Partner Network assessment.

Common Questions

Media & Entertainment IT, Answered.

What IT services do media and entertainment companies need?
Beyond day-to-day support, media vendors need high-throughput networks and storage, segmented production environments, secure file transfer, reliable remote access for editorial and VFX artists, tested backups sized for media volumes, and a security program that stands up to studio questionnaires and TPN assessments. Boom Logic delivers those as one managed service, and we secure and integrate with the editorial, storage, and transfer platforms you already run, working alongside your engineers and the platform vendors.
What is the Trusted Partner Network (TPN)?
The Trusted Partner Network is the Motion Picture Association’s global content security program. It maintains the MPA Content Security Best Practices, runs the TPN+ platform where vendors publish questionnaires and assessment reports, and accredits the independent assessors who perform site and application assessments. Studios and streamers use that information to make their own sourcing decisions.
Is Boom Logic a TPN assessor, and can you issue a Shield?
No. Shields are awarded by TPN, and third-party assessments are performed only by TPN-accredited assessors that the vendor selects and contracts directly. TPN also restricts assessors from planning remediation for a vendor they assess. Boom Logic fills the other role: we get your environment and evidence ready, remediate what the assessment finds, and keep it that way.
What are the TPN Shield tiers?
There are four. Blue: a self-assessment completed and published on TPN+, renewed annually. Silver: an assessment by a TPN-accredited third party with a remediation plan submitted. Gold: all Best Practice remediation items completed and reviewed by TPN. Gold Star: all Best Practices and the additional recommendations completed and reviewed. Silver, Gold, and Gold Star run two years from the report publication date.
Can we fail a TPN assessment?
Not in the pass-or-fail sense. TPN does not issue grades, ratings, or certifications. An assessment reports how a site or application conforms to the MPA Content Security Best Practices at that moment, and anything short of conformance is listed as a remediation item. Studios read the results and decide for themselves—which is why open items matter.
How long does it take to get ready for a TPN assessment?
It depends on the gaps. A single-site facility with sound fundamentals may need a few weeks of policy, evidence, and configuration work. Facilities that need network segmentation, new access control, or camera coverage should plan in months. Our readiness assessment gives you the list, the sequence, and a realistic schedule before you book an assessor.
Can you secure remote and hybrid editorial teams?
Yes. We build remote workflows that keep media in the facility or in hosted infrastructure we operate—virtual workstations, multi-factor authentication, device posture checks, and logged sessions—so artists can work from anywhere without content landing on unmanaged laptops.
Can you work alongside our internal IT or engineering team?
Yes. Larger facilities with in-house engineers use Boom Logic as a co-managed IT partner: their team keeps the pipeline and the creative systems it knows, and we add the 24/7/365 SOC, the security stack, evidence collection, and assessment preparation.
Do you serve media and entertainment companies throughout Los Angeles?
Yes. We support vendors across the studio corridors—Burbank, Hollywood, Culver City, Santa Monica, Glendale, and the Valley—on-site and remote, from our Eagle Rock headquarters. See managed IT services in Los Angeles.
