Pooled Buying Power for Nonprofits: How NITEP Cuts Managed Security Costs

Los Angeles nonprofits face the same ransomware, phishing, and compliance pressures as billion-dollar enterprises—without billion-dollar budgets. Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs), community clinics, and other 501(c)(3) organizations safeguard some of the most sensitive data in the country, yet enterprise-grade security pricing has historically been priced for enterprises. The Nonprofit IT Empowerment Program (NITEP) changes that math.

What Is the Nonprofit IT Empowerment Program?

NITEP is Boom Logic’s pooled-volume purchasing program for 501(c)(3) organizations. Every approved member receives an automatic 20% discount on Boom 365: MSSP Pro, our flagship managed security service. But the discount is only half the story. NITEP members don’t buy at their own size—they buy at the pool’s size. Every endpoint from every member counts toward one shared volume tier, so a 20-endpoint clinic pays the same per-endpoint rate as the largest organization in the program.

One pool. One tier. One rate—for every member.

How Pooled Pricing Works

Managed security pricing has always rewarded scale, and most nonprofits simply don’t have it on their own. NITEP fixes that by combining every member’s endpoints into a single volume commitment. The program’s rate structure runs 17 pooled tiers, beginning at 1,000 combined endpoints and stepping down to a program floor of $70.00 per endpoint per month once the pool passes 5,000.

As of July 2026, the NITEP pool stands at 1,358 managed endpoints, which places every member at $78.40 per endpoint per month. Each time the pool crosses into a new tier, every member’s rate drops—automatically, with no renegotiation and no paperwork. Growth anywhere in the pool benefits everyone in it.

What the Numbers Look Like for a 20-Endpoint Clinic

Consider a community clinic with 20 managed endpoints. At our published standalone rate for that size, the clinic would pay $145.00 per endpoint per month. Inside NITEP today, it pays $78.40—a savings of $1,568.00 per month, or $15,984.00 per year. When the pool reaches the $70.00 floor, that same clinic saves $18,000.00 every year.

For a nonprofit, that difference is real capacity: a staff position, a program expansion, or a year of community outreach funded by nothing more than smarter purchasing.

What Every Member Receives

NITEP pricing applies to Boom 365: MSSP Pro, our managed security platform backed by a 24/7/365 Security Operations Center (SOC). Because Boom Logic owns and operates its own infrastructure—cloud, network, and systems, with a presence in the world’s top-rated data centers, One Wilshire and Equinix—members get one accountable team behind their security, their cloud, and their support. Members also gain access to program pricing on BoomTalk™, our VoIP phone platform, and BoomTalk™ Live, our secure telehealth platform; those details are outlined in the program agreement.

Eligibility and How to Apply

NITEP is open to 501(c)(3) organizations with a minimum of 20 managed endpoints. Applying takes minutes: submit the application on the Nonprofit IT Empowerment Program page, and our team will verify your status, confirm your rate, and walk you through onboarding. You can also explore the live pricing calculator on that page to see exactly what your organization would pay at today’s pool size.
